Introducing the School of Enterprise
From September 2013, the School of Enterprise will be, for the right young person, a fast track route into employment and a strong foundation for a successful career in business. The new School will place the students' learning in the real world and develop in them the skills they need to succeed as the business people of the future.

For 16-18 year old students:
The Sixth Form will focus specifically on students becoming independent business people, young entrepreneurs. They will undertake an Extended National Diploma in Business Studies while establishing their own small businesses for profit. The young people will learn product development, marketing, accounting, employment law and management all in a real world setting.
These young people will actively engage with local businesses and business leaders through the Federation of Small Businesses and the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce. Upon completing their Sixth Form education these young people will be able to continue their studies at university or embark on developing their own business.
Value to Business Leaders
The School of Enterprise is designed to serve the needs of local employers across Worcestershire and the surrounding areas. Young people will gain the key skills and attributes that local businesses have said they require:
- a strong work ethic
- self management
- communication and maths skills
- teamwork
- problem solving and personal initiative
- self presentation and professional appearance
- customer service skills
These skills and attributes will be embedded into their curriculum and provide local employers with young people who are work-ready and able to make a positive contribution to the business of any future employers. We need our local employers as partners to develop our young people.
